The project, inspired by the previous "Xmas Project", born in 2012 to celebrate the magic and tradition of Christmas, is instead a moment of rupture and change. From those bright and colorful photographs of the "Xmas Project", which told the magical illusion of Christmas he know celebrates its death, as devoured by the new and alienating society in which the world of consumption, pervasive and hungry for money, becomes the new religion based on modern values of "BUY, SPEND YOUR MONEY and SALE"
With a succession of hot and provocative images, combined with an explosive soundtrack, Charlie Burgio was able to create the perfect blend of artistic photographs in order to emphasize a current social issue.
He achieved to tell that truth hidden under the veil, hiding behind the jingles and commercials, that have the power to influence and control the consumers’ minds, denouncing the new consumerist that distorts the values of Christmas, projecting them in alienating practices of mass consumption, giving life to new rituals that kill tradition.
